An online school (virtual school or e-school or cyber-school) teaches students entirely or primarily online or through the Internet. It has been defined as "education that uses one or more technologies to deliver instruction to students who are separated from the instructor and to support regular and substantive interaction between the students. Online education exists all around the world and is used for all levels of education (K-12, college, or graduate school). This type of learning enables the individuals to earn transferable credits, take recognized examinations, or advance to the next level of education over the Internet.
Q. Is it accredited by the Department of Education of the Philippines? A. Yes! Due to Covid-19, all schools must adhere to the new normal in education. Accordingly, “that online learning is only one of the options among all others in this new learning environment.” DepEd2020 Q. What curriculum are we using? A. DepEdLearning Competencies through DepEd Online Learning Platform Commons substantiated with Starfall.com (for preschool to primary level), IXL Learning and Khan Academy for enhancement of the program, and to answer to the result of PISA (Programme International Students Assessment) as Philippines was dead last of the result of Reading, Math and science in 2018.
Q. Can we begin soon? A. It is flexible. When you register/enroll early, you can begin early since it is individualized study BUT within this period from June- August and ends in March –May.
Q. Will my child be given an Academic Report Card for his/her academic performance after the school year? A. Yes! Just like any student enrolled in private or public schools, your child will be provided with an Academic Report Card (Form 138) for his/her academic performance. This card can be used to enroll in the next higher level of study within the Philippines either private or public. A record of transfer credential (Form 137-A) will also be issued to the next level educational institution upon request for the academic records of the student after proper clearance with GGCS.
Q. Who will be the teacher of my child? A. Any parent or both is the primary teacher(s) of the child to facilitate learning. Although, there will be face time with teacher though for socialization with other students enrolled and for questions and clarifications.
Q. What are the advantages/benefits of virtual learning program? 1. Flexible Schedule GGCS can only suggest of daily schedule but the parents can make adjustment to it. 2. Individual attention Your child gets all the individual attention he/she needs. For example, if your child is weak in Filipino, you could devote more time and energy into teaching Filipino. 3. Family Activity There is no other way but to be with family all the time. To make learning more meaningful, incorporate it with hands on experience with the rest of the family like gardening for science, cooking for home economics, online business for entrepreneurship, experimenting, arts and crafts, field trip, sports and so on and so forth. 4. No peer pressure No other peer but making your child’s good become better and better best. 5.Time and Money Saving Affordable tuition fees, time and money saving. No need for school bus/service, gas for sending and fetching your child, uniforms, brand new school shoes and other school activity fees.
Q. Do you accept Special Children to your this program? A. Yes! This is suitable to Special Children. Study showed that when the special kids were brought home to be educated, they made significant progress than in traditional classroom setting.
Q. Can we enroll from different parts of the Philippines. A. Definitely, YES because this is online learning program. We welcome all students from near and far places.
Q. Do you allow installment payment? A. Yes! Just pay the Registration FEE and the remaining balance will be divided by 10 months. There will be charges though when you pay late. 2 percent (2 %) of monthly due. An interest of 2 % per month for past due monthly installment will be charged without need of sending statement of account or billing statement. Interest due will be automatically charged.
Q. Can we transfer to another school after the school year? A. Definitely YES! Only after your child is cleared with any financial obligation, done with e-portfolio of Academic and Non- Performance as evidences that your child has completed the requirements prescribed by the Department of Education through our school. Also, please refer to our Agreement signed by you before you enroll. Thank you.
